Today I'm to write about love

I don't know where to begin

what pictures to include

what stories to involve

or what songs to sing

above all

my life has been a bit of a winding thing

and I can only begin to recognize

that which has felt really

good and sweet

it's been the 4am giggles and the grog that comes from laughing through dawn

I've the overstudied, overworked, over-inspired glaze over my eyes

and I want to take you in just one more time

I've given up trying to limit the amount of you I can consume

so now I let my

eyes gape open

swallow you

gulp you

for as long as you may be in front of me

I don't know how to fall in love these days or how to confess everything I'm trying to say, but I'm hoping

just by remembering all the ways my heart's been set ablaze

that I will find the courage

to fortify these feelings

put words behind their meanings

to you

with you

for you

for love
